The Western South Dakota Catholic Foundation was born from a simple belief, that faithful generosity, carefully stewarded, can transform the Church for generations. Since 1992, we have been honored to walk alongside donors, parishes, and ministries across the Diocese of Rapid City in continuing Christ’s mission.

Our History

Founded in 1992 by Bishop Charles Chaput, alongside dedicated board members and generous donors, the Foundation was built on a simple promise: gifts stay secure, donor intent is honored, and assets are managed prudently.

Through donations, endowments, and signature events like our annual Fishing Tournament and Bishop’s Hunt, your gifts go exactly where your heart leads.
